As land managers, you know how important it is to have strong nature laws to protect our unique wildlife and their habitats. 2024 is the year that the Australian Government has committed to reforming and strengthening our national nature laws, so now is the chance to lend your voice!
A thriving environment is at the centre of healthy land and communities throughout Australia.
But our national environmental laws aren’t up to the job of properly protecting our unique wildlife and their habitats or our special places.
That’s why HSI Australia, as part of the Places you Love alliance, is calling on the Australian Government to ensure that their 2024 reforms to our national environment laws deliver real outcomes for wildlife and our environment.
As a landholder, you are invited to sign an open letter as a public show of your support for strong nature laws. The letter, showing your name, will be published and provided to the key politicians with the power to make positive changes for our environment.
This is an opportunity to show Government and the broader community that a diversity of Australians value nature and want to see it looked after for current and future generations.
Your support will also show the Government that as a custodian of your land, you know we need strong nature laws to strengthen the conservation efforts you have undertaken on your own property and to take better care of nature and our unique wildlife.
