Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / QLD / Woorinyan

Eileen Hogan is the owner of a 29.95 hectare wildlife sanctuary adjacent to Moogerah Peaks National Park in Queensland, about 100m kilometers from Brisbane.  The peaks, which include Mt Greville, adjoining Woorinyan, are mostly covered in open eucalypt forest with montane heath on the exposed rock faces and rainforest in some sheltered areas.

This habitat reflects Woorinyan’s vegetation, and provides a bush haven for many Australian native species, including the powerful owl (Ninox strenua).  Eileen intends to protect her property for the benefit of wildlife in the long-term.
