Lee McCosker is the owner of Humane Farm Management, a property located in Yarravel, approximately 10km Northwest of Kempsey. The property is a residence and dedicated wildlife sanctuary, and is also used for educational purposes – leading by example in humane and environmental farming techniques.
The sanctuary covers 12 hectares, approximately 11 hectares of which is native bushland comprised of species such as old tallowwood (Eucalyptus microcorys), pink bloodwood (Corymbia intermedia), spotted gums (C. maculata), grass trees (Xanthorrhoea spp.) and native orchids.
Wildlife species known to be found on Humane Farm Management include short-beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus), koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus) and a stunning array of native birdlife.
