Greg and Janice Shaw are the owners of a property located in Tallai, approximately 10km south of Nerang, Queensland. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary and residence, and it is Greg and Janice’s intent for it to continue in these uses.
The property covers 0.81 hectares featuring a variety of native shrubs, and lower and upper canopy trees such as Eucalypts. A small dam and running creek provide water sources for a range of wildlife species present, including ringtail (Pseudocheirus peregrinus) and brushtail (Trichosurus vulpecula) possums, northern brown bandicoots (Isoodon macrourus), eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), eastern water dragons (Physignathus lesueurii lesueurii), eels, frogs and small fish in the creek, and a variety of bird and insect species.
