Raymond Revill is the owner of Fraser Coast Wildlife Sanctuary Inc. a property located approximately 35km south of Hervey Bay. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary and not-for-profit involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of native fauna. It is Raymond’s intent for the sanctuary to continue to be used as a haven for sick and injured animals, while providing a place for people to increase their knowledge about native wildlife.
Fraser Coast Wildlife Sanctuary covers 11 hectares of eucalypt woodlands on mostly level land with small inclines. Vegetation includes a variety of eucalypts, native grasses and pockets of sub-tropical flora.
The sanctuary provides important habitat for wildlife including eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), emus (Dromaius novaehollandiae), rufous bettongs (Aepyprymnus rufescens), swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), wallaroos (Macropus robustus), black (Calyptorhynchus spp.) and sulphur-crested (Cacatua galerita) cockatoos and many more.
