Harry Kunz is the owner of Eagles Nest Wildlife Hospital, a property located approximately 95km west of Innisfail. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary and functioning wildlife hospital that caters for injured, sick, orphaned and misplaced wildlife for the Tablelands area, and it is Harry’s intent for it to continue in these purposes.
The property covers 2.5 hectares featuring half an acre of revegetating rainforest, which provides habitat for a wide range of Far North Queensland species such as agile wallabies (Macropus agilis), northern brown bandicoots (Isoodon macrourus), striped possums (Dactylopsila trivirgata), Boyd’s forest dragons (Hypsilurus boydii), eastern water dragons (Physignathus lesueurii), Wompoo fruit doves (Ptilinopus magnificus), musky rat kangaroos (Hypsiprymnodon moschatus) and sacred kingfishers (Todiramphus sanctus).
