Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / VIC / Ann and Shaun’s Refuge

Ann and Shaun Travers are the owners of a property located approximately 30km south of Ballarat, purchased simply with the intent of being an untouched sanctuary for native habitat and wildlife.  Ann and Shaun’s intention for the property is for it to remain untouched as natural bushland well into the future.

The sanctuary covers approximately 4.05 hectares of intact bushland. The predominant habitat type is native forest, with a variety of eucalypts and other native trees reaching heights of 40-60 feet.  Wildlife present includes koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus) and a variety of bird species.
