Jordan Hunt is the owner of Teembin Pines, a property situated in Caboolture, approximately 50km north of Brisbane, Queensland. The property is a residence, hobby farm and wildlife sanctuary. Much of the land was cleared by previous owners, and it is Jordan’s intention to restore it to a sanctuary to support the many native animals in the area.
The property covers 37 hectares of largely cleared land bordered by Goong Creek. Vegetation is largely comprised of introduced grasses.
A wide range of wildlife is found on or around the property, including eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), lace monitors (Varanus varius), yellow-tailed black cockatoos (Zanda funereus), Australian pelicans (Pelecanus conspicillatus) and a wide variety of native frogs, snakes and lizards. The area is also home to a vast array of birdlife, including various native ducks.
