Jasmine Broadbent is the owner of Musical Gully Wings & Wildlife Sanctuary Inc, a property situated in Main Lead, north of Beaufort, Victoria. The property is currently used as a wildlife sanctuary and for wildlife rehabilitation and education. With the property heavily mined during the Gold rush period the owners are working towards restoring the waterway and removing debris with future intentions to establish the property as a thriving safe place for native animals and their rescued domestic birds. Owner Jasmine is a wildlife carer of Beaufort Wildlife Shelter. The property is also part of the Land for Wildlife program.
Musical Gully Wings and Wildlife Sanctuary Inc spans 8 hectares. The property is comprised of Eucalypt woodland with a gully flowing through the middle of the property and a heavy clay area. Native flora featured on the property include wattles and native grasses.
The property provides habitat for a range of species including eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), kookaburras (Dacelo novaeguineae), wrens (Malurus sp.), honeyeaters, rosellas (Platycercus sp.) pardalotes (Pardalotus sp.), magpies (Gymnorhina tibicen), echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus), shingleback lizards (Tiliqua rugosa).
