Shirley Haddin is the owner of Pudding Farm, a property situated in Julatten, approximately 90km northwest of Cairns, Queensland. The property is a residence and dedicated wildlife sanctuary, and Shirley intends to maintain the land for the benefit of native species and their habitat.
The property spans 29 hectares and was formerly a cattle farm. It is now comprised of a range of regenerated ecosystems, including eucalypt woodland, native grasslands and subtropical rainforest, with a permanent creek intersecting the length of the property.
A wide range of wildlife is present including agile wallabies (Notamacropus agilis), red-legged pademelons (Thylogale stigmatica), reptiles and an array of native birds, including some threatened species.
