These blocks are set just 3.5 kilometres from the quaint but vibrant town of Dimboola, and are close to the Wimmera River and Little Desert National Park.
Access to each lot is excellent, and each block is home to eucalypt woodlands with native pine, heath, banksia and tea tree. The blocks are protected with provisions to conserve their natural values, and only native species can be planted.

Sharyn and Daryl Avery are the owners of Banksia Court Lots, comprised of four blocks situated near Dimboola, approximately 40km north of Horsham, Victoria. Formerly a cleared olive plantation, the property is now a wildlife sanctuary and bush regeneration site, also used for recreation and overnight stays. Sharyn and Daryl are currently clearing exotic pine and olive trees, carrying out cool burns and planting local species to improve the blocks’ biodiversity values. They also control non-native fauna including foxes, cats and rabbits.
The block is divided into eight subdivisions, protected with provisions to restrict the growing of non-native plants and to control existing exotic plant species. Two of these subdivisions have been sold.
The Sanctuary
Banksia Court Lots covers 8 hectares over eight bush blocks situated close to Little Desert National Park. Vegetation is largely comprised of eucalypt woodland, featuring messmate stringybark (Eucalyptus obliqua) and Wimmera scentbark (Eucalyptus sabulosa). Other native species include native pine, heath, banksia, casuarina and tea tree (Leptospermum spp.). One block also features yam daisy (Microseris lanceolata), and several orchid varieties including pyro orchids (Pyrorchis spp.) have been identified.
Several native species have been identified including short-beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus) and shingleback lizards (Tiliqua rugosa). Small mammals may also be present on some blocks.
