The Shepherds are the owners of Woorinyan Fiadhaich, a property situated in Moogerah, approximately 100 kilometres from Brisbane, Queensland. The property is a wildlife sanctuary and regenerative farm adjacent to Moogerah Peaks National Park in Queensland.
Woorinyan Fiadhaich spans 29.95 hectares and is situated in the shelter of Mt Greville, adjoining Woorinyan with the land mostly covered in open eucalypt forest with montane heath on the exposed rock faces and rainforest in some sheltered areas. The Shepherds intend to continue rewilding and integrating regenerative agriculture principles, both in the short and long term, with a focus on diversifying vegetation and protecting endangered tree species.
Woorinyan Fiadhaich provides a bush haven for many Australian native species including powerful owls (Ninox strenua), wedgetail eagles (Aquila audax), pacific bazas (Aviceda subcristata), various parrot species, long neck turtles (Chelodina longicollis), koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), blue banded bees (Amegilla sp.), kangaroos and pheasants
