Dr Lyndell Bristow is the owner of Amiwya, a property situated in East Lynne, New South Wales. Amiwya is located adjacent to Murramarang National Park in the Shoalhaven area of New South Wales south coast. The property is a wildlife sanctuary currently used for wildlife treatment and rehabilitation with Dr Lyndell being a retired vet with a BVSc from Sydney University.
Amiwya spans 55 hectares and is adjacent to Murramarang National Park. The property is comprised of south coast Eucalyptus which have been surveyed and recorded by Dr Keith Jolliffe Australian National University regarding a possible koala translocation study. Owner Lyndell intends to conserve the property into the future.
The property provides habitat for a range of species including eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus), red-bellied snakes (Pseudechis porphyriacus), monitor lizards (Varanus sp.), possums and numerous birds.
