Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / TAS / Wobbly Boot Vineyard

Lynda and Paul Williams are the owners of Wobbly Boot Vineyard, a property located in Campania, approximately 35km north of Hobart, Tasmania. The property is a working vineyard as well as a wildlife-friendly sanctuary, and is also used to host events and educational tours for visitors.  Lynda and Paul intend to continue using the property for these purposes, with plans to increase visitation whilst demonstrating the conservation and agricultural values of the property. The property is also registered with Land for Wildlife.

The property covers approximately 10 hectares and is bordered on two sides by White Kangaroo Rivulet.  The property features vineyards, eucalypt woodland and a mix of native and introduced pasture. A densely wooded riparian zone also runs along the riverbank, providing habitat for wildlife.

Wildlife found on the property includes Bennett’s wallabies (Macropus rufogriseus), Tasmanian pademelons (Thylogale billardierii), bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus), short-beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus) and Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagles (Aquila audax fleayi). Platypuses (Ornithorhynchus anatinus) are also found in the riparian zone.
