Barry and Lara Fitzgerald are the owners of Wahroonga, a property situated in Savernake, in New South Wales. The property is a wildlife sanctuary with the owners intending to keep the property as habitat for wildlife to frequent and live in.

Wahroonga spans 6 hectares in size. The property features old growth Eucalyptus yellow box (Eucalyptus melliodora) and Eucalyptus gray box (Eucalyptus macrocarpa) with approximately 20 natural hollows and native grasses. Additional native flora species on the property include Poa sp. grasses, chocolate lily (Arthropodium sp.), kangaroo grass (Themeda triandra), gold dust wattle (Acacia acinacea), hop bush (Dodonaea sp.), grey wattle (Acacia brachybotrya), Casuarina sp., Kurrajong sp. and Senna sp. Native wildlife found at Wahroonga include kangaroos, wallabies, eastern brown snakes (Pseudonaja textilis), geckos, skinks, grass parrots (Psephotus haematonotus), rosellas (Platycercus sp.), cockatiels (Nymphicus hollandicus), superb parrots (Polytelis swainsonii), cuckoo shrikes (Coracina sp.), apostlebirds (Struthidea cinerea), magpies (Gymnorhina tibicen), kookaburras (Dacelo novaeguineae), grey-crowned babbler (Pomatostomus temporalis), butcherbirds, kingfishers, honeyeaters, wrens, birds of prey, owls, and more.
