Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / NSW / Pauline and Charlie’s Refuge

Pauline Lamb and Charlie Brincat are the owners of a property located approximately 11km southwest of Murwillumbah. The property is a residence and wildlife-friendly refuge used for conservation purposes, and it is Pauline and Charlie’s intent for it to continue in these uses.

The sanctuary covers approximately 2.85 hectares, featuring regenerating subtropical rainforest (conserved for 25 years) and eucalypt woodland as well as a running creek that provides a water source for wildlife. Wildlife species known to occur on the property include swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), brushtail (Trichosurus vulpecula) and ringtail (Pseudocheirus peregrinus) possums, short-beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus), lace monitors (Varanus varius), snakes, and a wide range of birdlife.
