Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / WA / Faraway Lodge

Sonia and Brian Cooke are the owners of Faraway Lodge, a property located approximately 60km northeast of Perth. The property is a residence and dedicated wildlife-friendly sanctuary also used for wildlife rehabilitation, and it is Sonia and Brian’s intent for Faraway Lodge to remain for these purposes.

The property covers 3 hectares featuring a winter creek with vegetation species occurring including white gums (Eucalyptus wandoo), Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata), and native scrub.

Wildlife species known to inhabit the sanctuary include western grey kangaroos (Macropus fuliginosus) and a variety of parrots, wrens and small marsupial species.
