Lynn and Andy Kidd are the owners of Esperance Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc, a property situated in Monjingup, approximately 8 kilometers northwest of Esperance, Western Australia. Esperance Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc is nestled in between conservation sites and Lake Warden surrounded by the protected wetlands of Esperance. It is a sanctuary for rehabilitated native wildlife that is also used for education. Future intentions of the property owners are to ensure that the wildlife released from this property can live out their natural life as free as they can be in an environment that is conducive to meeting their every need and to encourage the community of Esperance to gain knowledge and respect for our fauna and flora.

The property spans 5.5 hectares (13.5 acres). The sanctuary contains paddocks with grasses for macropods surrounded by a small Eucalypt Woodland and Banksia and natural vegetation.

The owners of Esperance Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc release rescued wildlife on the property. The property’s wildlife includes macropods, raptors, waterbirds, Carnaby cockatoos (Zanda latirostris), cockatoos, common bronzewings (Phaps chalcoptera), crested pigeons (Ocyphaps lophotes), parrots, owls, galahs, frogs, snakes, yabbies as well as pygmy possums (Cercartetus concinnus) and bandicoots.
