Yoko Saito is the owner of Delafield, a property located approximately 15km north of Mansfield. The property is a residence and dedicated wildlife sanctuary, and it is Yoko’s intent for it these uses to continue for the foreseeable future.
The property covers 42.5 hectares of vast bushland opposite a Crown Land Fauna and Flora Reserve. The most prominent vegetation species are a range of wattles (Acacia spp.) and gum trees (Eucalyptus spp).
Examples of wildlife species known to occur on the property include eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus), short beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus) and a variety of native birdlife.
