Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / VIC / Dadirri

Michal Schneider is the owner of Dadirri, a property situated in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria. The property is a wildlife-friendly sanctuary and recreational site. Michal intends to use it as a weekend property, and is constructing a small cabin on the site for this purpose.

The property covers 0.55 hectares of partly cleared, sloping land within the Dandenong Ranges. It is bounded by a small creek to the west and adjoins a wildlife corridor connecting to Sassafras Creek Linear Reserve. Vegetation is dominated by eucalypt woodland with an understory of native grasses and shrubs.

Swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus) and native birds are among the many native species found on the property.
