Chris Taylor is the owner of a property situated in Ewingsdale, approximately 7km west of Byron Bay, New South Wales. The property is a residence and wildlife-friendly sanctuary, and it is Chris’ intention to maintain the habitat and wildlife corridors on the property for the benefit of native species.
The property covers approximately 0.61 hectares of native vegetation in the tropical hinterland and features a wealth of habitat and water sources for wildlife. Vegetation largely consists of rainforest, eucalypt woodland and grasslands.
A range of wildlife is present on the property including koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor) and short-beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus). A vast array of snakes, bats and native birds also inhabit the area.
