How to leave a gift in your Will

One of the common myths about leaving a gift to charity in a Will is that it is only for the very wealthy and that it is legally complex to do. In fact, the hundreds of people who have already made a legacy gift of this kind to Humane World come from all walks of life.

“I give and bequeath to Humane World for Animals, Australia Ltd (ABN 63 510 927 032), in aid of that organisation and for its general purposes, <the sum of $_____> OR <the rest and residue of my Estate>, for which the receipt of the CEO or other officer shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor for the Bequest.”

Adding Humane World to your Will can be a simple matter, but one that you should discuss with your loved ones and solicitor.
