Stephen Gray is the owner of Mena Creek Reserve, a property situated in Mena Creek, approximately 112km south of Cairns, Queensland. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary, and it is Steven’s intent to revegetate cleared areas of the land for the benefit of local wildlife.
The property covers approximately 8.09 hectares with 1.5km of frontage to Mena Creek. It is comprised mainly of cleared farmland interspersed with several pockets of tropical rainforest, as well as rainforest stands in the riparian zone. A wide range of native wildlife reside in or travel through the property including southern cassowaries (Casuaris casuaris) and agile wallabies (Macropus agilis). An array of tropical birdlife is also present.
