Meredith Rawlings is the owner of Hillstone, a property situated in Ravensbourne, approximately 40km east of Toowoomba, Queensland. Originally a dairy farm, the property is now a beef cattle farm and wildlife sanctuary. Meredith intends to preserve the remnant woodland on the property for the benefit of local native flora and fauna.
The property covers approximately 16 hectares of cleared grazing land interspersed with stands of remnant rainforest and eucalypt species. The property borders Ravensbourne National Park.
An abundance of wildlife is found on the property including bandicoots, brushtail (Trichosurus vulpecula) and ringtail (Pseudocheirus peregrinus) possums, grey-headed flying-foxes (Pteropus poliocephalus) and microbats as well as a wide range of native birds. Koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus) are also found in the general area but have not yet been sighted on the property.
