Gabrielle Carlin and Craig Talbot are the owners of Salt Hill, a property situated in Sofala, New South Wales. Salt Hill is a wildlife sanctuary with an approximate elevation of 800m. The property is hilly and is mainly cleared for grazing with tree cover. The owners intend to improve Salt Hill by creating wildlife corridors, bringing back native pasture and generally regenerating the land to improve soils and mitigate erosion.

Salt Hill spans 47.16 hectares across Dry Sclerophyll Forests including the plant community types: Central Tableland Dry Slopes Stringybark-Box Forest, Southern Tableland Western Hills Scribbly Gum Forest and Central West Stony Hills Stringybark-Box Forest and Grassy Woodlands including the plant community types Central Tableland Ranges Peppermint-Gum Grassy Forest and Central West Creekflat Grassy Woodland.

On the property there are remnant paddock trees, some Eucalyptus and Acacia clusters towards the creek line of the property and some trees along the creek line. The property provides habitat for a range of species including kangaroos, fairy wrens (Malurus sp.), hawks, wedge-tailed eagles (Aquila audax), magpies (Gymnorhina tibicen), rosellas (Platycercus sp.), willie wagtails (Rhipidura leucophrys), grasshoppers, lizards, ants and spiders.
