End the Bloodshed at the Gadhimai Festival

Every five years, the world’s largest animal sacrifice takes place just 200km south of Kathmandu. Nepal’s Gadhimai festival concludes with the ritual slaughter of tens of thousands of buffalo, goats, pigeons, and other animals in honour of the Hindu goddess Gadhimai.
