Dannii Warner and Adam Vicha are the owners of a property situated in Mountain Lagoon, approximately 10km northeast of Bilpin, New South Wales. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary, rehabilitation site and education centre. Dannii and Adam intend to maintain the land for these purposes, building a wildlife refuge and animal rescue in the future. They are currently seeking registration through Land for Wildlife.
The property spans 6.4 hectares and backs directly on to the Blue Mountains National Park. It features two dams, a stream and a waterfall. Vegetation is comprised of mature and new growth eucalypt woodland and native grassland.
A wide range of wildlife is present including koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), eastern water dragons (Intellagama lesueurii), lace monitors (Varanus varius) and an array of native birds. Macropods have been heard in the area and bare-nosed wombat (Vombatus ursinus) scats have been found.
