What is Humane Society International?

Humane Society International (HSI) is the largest and most effective international charity working for a more humane and sustainable world for animals. We are leaders in saving endangered species and their habitats and reducing cruelty in farming, trade and other industries.

Who can enter the competition?

Children aged 5-12 who live in NSW, the ACT or Victoria can enter the competition. However anyone can come along to the exhibitions which will be held in capital cities in September.

Where will the final exhibitions be held?

NSW: The Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney and the Coal Loader Sustainability Centre, North Sydney

ACT: The Australian National Botanic Gardens, Canberra

VIC: The Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne

Are the volunteering opportunities?

There will be lots of volunteering opportunities to be announced closer to September.

Are there workshops?

For NSW Classes: The Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens are hosting two Virtual Classrooms on June 21st, where classes can learn all about threatened native plants and how to draw them! Each 45 minute class is free and can be accessed online by any teacher in NSW. Click here to learn more.
