There is no getting around it. Animals shipped off for slaughter overseas face a gruelling journey and animals routinely die in terrible circumstances—yet the Australian government continues to allow it.
There is simply no way to make the mass export of live animals over long distances humane.
It is an unnecessary, unsustainable and dying industry with dwindling support from all sides of Australian politics and even less support from the Australian public.
It is time to end live exports. Add your voice to the calls to stop the cruelty.
