Don't Miss your chance to Rally to support the ban on live export

October 3rd 2012

Following recent news reports that thousands of Australian sheep were inhumanely slaughtered in Pakistan after being rejected by Bahrain, Animals Australia have organized family friendly rallies across Australia to oppose the live export trade. The rallies will take place this Saturday, 6th October, in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, and Hobart, and we urge you to attend. The animals are depending on us. We must urgently let politicians know that caring Australians will not vote for political parties that support live export.

Australia' s live export trade is arguably one of the world' s cruelest trades and despite efforts by the Australian Government to introduce new systems last year to protect animals, reports continue to demonstrate how their efforts are repeatedly failing, with media reports continuously detailing further brutal mistreatment. In the latest live export crisis, around 10,000 sheep were reportedly clubbed, stabbed, and even buried alive in Pakistan, and today the rest of that shipment which amounts to more than 10,000 sheep await an uncertain fate.

To show your support to end this barbaric trade join compassionate Australians at the Rally nearest to you on Saturday 6th October 2012 ' “ here are the details:
