ABOUT THE ARTIST

Adelaide-born artist Stuart Rex McLachlan has worked as an artist and illustrator in Amsterdam, Montreal, Vancouver, Melbourne and now Sydney. Stuart won the Lotus Award in Vancouver as well as the Dallas Press Club and Florida/Caribbean Art Directors Awards in the USA. Exhibitions include Le Exposition Vagabond, Ace Studio in Paris, ASN Gallery in Sydney, Garvan Institute, Nostimos joint exhibitions in Sydney and Illustrious at Global Gallery in Sydney. Recently, Stuart developed a new technique of paper styling using cut paper to create images and art objects for the fashion, art editorial and advertising areas, a technique he hopes to progress to evermore complex and varied uses. Clients include Singapore Airlines, Vogue, Colette Dinnigan, the French Film Festival and MGM Studios.
