Through our highly successful nomination program, Humane Society International has been responsible for protecting hundreds of threatened species under Australian commonwealth, state and territory laws and international treaties. We now play an advisory role on many of the recovery plans developed to save them. HSI also works hard for the conservation and humane treatment of all Australian wildlife, campaigning against threats such as commercial and recreational hunting and culling programs.
